Because I’ve been where you are now. I’ve had my fair share of trial and (lots of) error with the latest diet trends and fads, became obsessed with scales, calories and fitness, struggled with anxiety and dedicated time for everyone else but me.

However with time and treatment, recovery brought knowledge, strength, freedom and joy. Nourishing my body and mind with nutrition, movement and meditation resulted in behaviors and coping skills that are sustainable for life.

With many years of education, training and experience, I’m eager to guide and support your journey towards an improved relationship with food and body. My hope is for you to free yourself from what diet culture dictates as an “ideal” but unattainable and unrealistic body expectations with unsustainable diets or “lifestyle” changes. I help you become attuned to hunger, fullness and satisfaction, identify and challenge distorted thinking about food and weight, develop an improved body image and above all… be kind to your body because it’s your home.

Follow-up$175
These typically 45 minute follow-ups occur on a weekly basis. In each session we’ll delve more into understanding your unique association with food by assessing your thoughts, feelings and actions in relation to the choices you make. As you progress through treatment, you’ll reconnect to your body’s natural ability to feel hunger, satiety and pleasure; nourish yourself without restricting, binging or purging; develop coping skills and above all else, learn to be kind to your body. We will end each session with customized self-care practices you can implement between sessions.
Private Yin Yoga session$75
This session will focus on yin yoga only. I will guide you through a series of asanas (or postures) during the 60 minute session.

Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice consisting of longer held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body… ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks rather than the muscles.

What to Expect

Like any other therapy, Nutrition Therapy is a process of self-discovery and experimentation. At VeriWell we consider your values, motivators for and barriers to change and examine how your relationship to food affects you physically, mentally and emotionally. What we discover is integrated into a plan to achieve a successful recovery.

*As a weight neutral, body diverse provider, weight loss plans and weight loss goals are not provided. If that is what you’re seeking, VeriWell may not be for you. If you’re open to exploring improved health without regard for weight, VeriWell is for you!

HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS DO I NEED?

The amount of time devoted to recovery depends on you. Each plan is individual to the client’s needs, the goals established and the readiness to change.

I will guide you through the process, suggest experimenting with new practices and provide support.

Having said that, I request a commitment of 3 months of weekly or bi-weekly sessions. It is common for those with an eating disorder to often continue for years.
